Experience the versatility of Valkyrie String Quartet, one of Edmonton's most sought-after string ensembles, with a program that moves from classical favourites to arrangements of popular songs.
Featuring violinists Alison Zdunich and Sylvia Chow, violist Leanne Maitland and cellist Amy Nicholson, the Valkyrie String Quartet brings together four accomplished musicians with extensive experience in chamber and symphonic performance.
The ensemble is frequently featured in Fever's popular Candlelight Concert series, and its members perform with orchestras and ensembles including the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Regina Symphony Orchestra, Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton, Alberta Baroque Ensemble and New Music Edmonton.
For Spruce's Sunday Series, Valkyrie String Quartet brings classical and pop music together in a program showcasing the range and versatility of the string quartet, all within the intimate setting and outstanding acoustics of the Black Box Theatre.
