Prairie Debut: Uchida Hoekman Duo

Robert and Rafael have found in each other musical partners and good friends. They have been playing as a duo and in other larger ensembles in many concerts in and around Edmonton since Rafael joined the Edmonton Symphony in 2015. As Concertmaster and Principal Cello of the ESO they have been playing together in close contact on a near daily basis and have forged a close musical partnership as well as a deep and lasting friendship. They’re always excited to share their love of music and fascination with the Violin and Cello duo repertoire. Plans for the future include expanding the repertoire through commissions and arrangements and making recordings and videos of the existing repertoire including works of Kodaly, Ravel, and Schulhoff.
