Summer drama and film camps for kids
FoOtlights and Director's Cut camp registration opens Monday, May 6.

FoOtlights and Director's Cut camps will be held at the Border Paving Athletic Centre, located at 9 Tri Leisure Way in Spruce Grove.
FoOtlights Drama Camps
Acting I (ages 6-7)
Jam-packed with a variety of games and basic drama exercises suitable for younger children. Acting I is a two-hour long morning drama camp where kids will be encouraged to play, pretend, and let their sillies out.
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Acting II (ages 8-9)
This three-hour long afternoon drama camp will use a variety of drama games and techniques to encourage kids to explore and expand their acting skills. Acting II students will work on a short showcase piece that they will present at Horizon Stage on the last day of camp.
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Acting III (ages 10-13)
Acting III is a full-day camp that will use drama games, improvisation techniques, character and scene work to help students delve deeper into their acting abilities. Students will work together to create a showcase piece to present at Horizon Stage on the last day of camp. Participants must bring a peanut-free bagged lunch each day.
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Director's Cut Film Camp
Lego/Clay Animation (ages 7-10)
Participants will work in small crews to storyboard, build a script, design mini sets and characters using Lego or clay and then capture their film through the art of stop motion animation. In post-production, students will add sound effects, music, voice overs, and titles. The week will include Hollywood A-List activities and a red carpet popcorn film festival for family and friends on Friday afternoon. Students will receive copies of their finished movies to share with the world. Participants must bring a peanut-free bagged lunch each day and may be asked to provide their own Lego.
